Colin, the boy and mama.

For years, I blew up my finances with stupid purchases and poor life choices. I finally woke up around forty years old and realized how much trouble I was in.  Soon, I was facing a divorce which would force my net worth to below zero.

I work in the commercial real estate industry where I have experience in investment sales & leasing, property management and development.  I began building my real estate portfolio in 2010 after realizing I'd completely mishandled my 20s and 30s.  Watching my clients build wealth, while mine continued to fritter away, I started asking questions, reading the right books and paying attention to those who were signing "the front of the checks."

Since then I’ve woken up to the realities of how money works and have aggressively rebuilt my financial situation.  That meant learning how to save and invest as well as how to spot opportunities when they present themselves.

It's those lessons I've gained along the way that I hope to share.

I’ve been lucky in my life to have experienced many things, some good, some bad.  I’m learning to appreciate the tough moments as they’re the ones that allow for the most growth.  I’ll share some of those experiences as well.

I live with my beautiful girlfriend and our son who both listen to me talk incessantly and excitedly about real estate.  There's now a puppy involved, but she's too hyped up to care about the investing discussions.
